Installation & Setup: Start by unpacking the printer and removing protective materials. Install the ink cartridges and load paper into the rear paper feed. Use the provided software disc or download the Epson installer from their website to set up the printer and connect it to your computer or network. Follow on-screen instructions to complete the configuration.
Wi-Fi & Network Setup: For wireless setup, you can connect via Wi-Fi using WPS (push-button setup), by entering a PIN code, or manually entering the network details. For environments without a wireless router, Wi-Fi Direct allows a direct connection between the printer and a device (computer or mobile), with no need for an external network.
Printing & Scanning: You can print from a computer (Windows or Mac) or from mobile devices using Epson iPrint. Printing options include two-sided printing, resizing documents, or printing borderless photos. For scanning, use the control panel to scan documents or photos and save them to your computer or send them via email using Epson Scan 2. Smart devices can also scan using the Epson iPrint app.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Regular maintenance includes checking ink levels, cleaning the print head, and aligning the print head for optimal print quality. For issues like paper jams, follow the instructions to remove jammed paper from various parts of the printer. A network connection report can be printed to help troubleshoot Wi-Fi issues. For more serious errors, the control panel lights will indicate the problem (e.g., low ink, paper feed errors).
